Design Madison’s last speaker event is truly the apex of the season, with Luke Hayman, one of the biggest names we’ve featured at Design Madison, and two of our favorite words: free beer.
After studying design at Central St. Martin's School of Art in London, Luke made his roots in New York City where he joined Pentagram as a partner in 2006.
If you know anything about Pentagram, you know their staff is the créme de la créme, and Luke is certainly no exception. His work encompasses a wide range of disciplines, from identity and exhibition design to book and most notably, magazine design. Having held design/creative director posts at I.D, Travel + Leisure, and Content magazines, Luke's expertise helped bring back the luster of New York magazine, which was twice-recognized as Magazine of the Year by the Society for Publication Designers under his reign.

All speaker events are located at The Brink Lounge unless otherwise noted and subject to date change or cancellation without notice. When everything is a go, we start mixing it up at 6:00 p.m. Speakers take the stage at 6:30 p.m. Paid-up dm members attend free. Nonmembers pay $35 per speaker event. Nonmember students pay $10. Social events are attended free of charge to Design Madison members and non-members alike. Cash bar.
